Course Description

There is so much to cover in Algebra II that students often miss seeing the forest for the trees, jumping from memorizing one skill to another without developing robust understandings. This course provides students with the foundation and sense of the bigger picture that they will need to have success in Algebra II and beyond. Math is power. Here, students develop the confidence that enables them to harness that power. This course provides personal face to face sessions with a caring and experienced teacher in a supportive learning environment. Additionally students have access to a rich library of content and assignments between sessions. The course breakdown is as follows:

Success in Algebra I is an indicator of future success in college. This course will help students become confident learners and master the key topics they need to be ready for Algebra I in the Fall. Central to this preparation is understanding the concept of a variable – both as an unknown when solving equations and as something that changes when describing patterns.
